New Beginnings
for vulnerable people
Our Services
Running monthly over four months, this initiative offers survivors a day dedicated to self-care, emotional healing, and peer support. The day includes:
Massage and facial treatments
Guided well-being discussions with a professional coach
Nutritious meals
Reflective sessions and gift bags to encourage ongoing self-care
“After years of just surviving, this day helped me begin to feel human again.”
— Survivor, Well-Being Day Participant
This project responds to alarming statistics: according to the No Defence for Abuse strategy, 1.4 million women and 750,000 men experienced domestic abuse in the UK last year. Survivors often struggle with PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Our Well-Being Day gives them space to recover and reconnect with themselves.
Our Food & Friendship events will create a relaxed, welcoming space where individuals and families impacted by domestic abuse can enjoy “Food & Friendship” as part of a warm, informal social gathering. The meal is at the heart of the event-offering comfort, conversation, and connection-alongside optional activities like creative workshops, book clubs, or business and wellbeing sessions. Each event will alternate between women and men (children are welcome), ensuring a safe, focused environment. This initiative supports emotional wellness, reduces isolation, and encourages gentle personal growth through meaningful relationships, shared stories, and access to empowering opportunities.
